My Children Are Socialists

I was disappointed to find out our localPubic School District did not broadcast the President's speech to school children this week. However, I don't think it was a political issue considering it was the first day of school and making them watch a presidential address right after all the kids finally found their lockers and tables would likely have been a bit disruptive.

I for one was not worried that the President would try to brainwash my children with a radical socialist agenda. He's far too late. As Peter Segal said on NPR's "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" last week, I have a bunch of kids in my house who not only get free room and board, but they expect it! They constantly demand more and more and if one or the other gets something the rest of them did not get they all call foul, scream "not fair" over and over, and demand an equal distribution of the wealth they did nothing to create. And when they get sick they get top quality health care with no copay!

The President can't turn them into socialists, they already are!
